The speakers will present an update on the production of statistical information and the construction of indicators so that public policies have a multi-ethnic and gendered approach.
Key themes are:
- UNFPA's vision for information production.
- The need to improve information sources so that these can include and develop the gender and multi-ethnic dimensions.
- To include the vision of Indigenous Women who, from their participation and organizational development, have specific demands for the production of information, especially information that corresponds with their economic contribution and also, with the general perspective of women regarding the development of information on violence against Indigenous Women.
- Speakers have been limited to three for this panel, in order to open a space for public discussion and participation.
- This is the third panel on Indigenous Peoples. Since we organized the first one, we have emphasized the need for compiling institutional commitments and for following up on these issues. This practice has advanced and above all, has increased the participation of Indigenous Women in this thematic area.
